St. Augustine in Florida is the oldest city in the continental United State. These images are from the Huguenot Graveyard, one of the oldest in the city.
To me, tombstones are like markers in time which represent a life. I think we mark these final resting places to show that each life is important, and that each of us touches the lives of so many others... ripples in time like ripples on the surface of a calm lake.
